Robert Engman stated that “A piece of art is never a finished work. It answers a question which has been asked, and asks a new question.” I appreciate the fact that this idea challenges us to continue to think about and analyze the things we are presented with, and the concepts we are exposed to. I look at art as an open and ongoing dialog. One of the core interests in my life has evolved around the notion of communication and looking at it's intricacies and abstractions. I find myself expanding my art practice through experimentation of different materials, methodologies, techniques, and thought processes.
